Sunday 29 July

29 July 2012

On Sunday 29 July 2012, I attended the baptism of our friend Freddy after church in the Mukono ward.

Lane and Freddy

I got back to Lugazi and was walking through our neighborhood (Nakazadde Village) when I ran into this family (plus a few neighborhood friends) who were in the process of making posho. First you take all the corn kernels off of the cob and then grind it down to flour. To  make posho, heat water and pour in the flower. It ends up looking a lot like cream of wheat and they serve it with beans. It's fun just walking up and talking with people, learning new things about their lives/culture.

Two of the kids who were making posho wanted their picture taken. I told them to pose with the family cow.
