Musana means "Sunlight". Help International volunteers called and is the name of a company that Help volunteers helped create. Musana's mission is to help empower local women who are usually the sole providers in their homes. They make jewelry which up until now has been sold in the United States. As of 06 June 2012, Musana has a store front here in Lugazi. It was a fun event.
A friend of ours, Luta, is a great entertainer/comedian. He provided entertainment at the grand opening and attracted a lot of community members. The mayor and town council members also showed up for the ribbon cutting. It was pretty fun and it meant the world to the women who work at Musana. They were in their best clothes. They could not have been happier. You can find their website at http://musanajewelry.org/

My friend with the pretty eyes showed up. (because what women doesn't love jewelry right?) Almost got her to smile.

I swear she was smiling till just before I took this picture...... It's gonna happen before the summer's over.
We ended up getting rained on. But the party continued. This little guy was tugging at my shirt for much of the opening ceremony. He kept asking for something. I though he was asking for money but later, someone translated and said he just wanted his picture taken. In the first picture I took, he was frowning so he wanted to try again. Hamming it up for the camera.
